That is why the Canadian political science started the ELA. The ELA (Experimental Lakes Area) is a field station that allows scientists to observe lakes and study their pollutants and watersheds. They sample on these lakes in the hope of finding a consequence to re-purify them and lakes all over the world. However, the ELA has become a very disputed subject, as many believe that experimenting with the lakes is doing more harm than good. The lakes used in this experiment are located in southern Canada, specifically northwestern Ontario. 58 small lakes in this area are being examined year round.
