The Killer Angels, by Michael Shaara, tells the story of the historic strife of Gettysburg. On July 1, 1863, the companion soldiery and the union army fought the largest and most ill meshing of the American Civil War. Shaara states that he wrote the book because he wanted to know what it was like to be there, what the weather was like, what the manpowers inhabit faces looked like. Between the eld of July 1, 1863 and July 4, 1863, the Civil Wars outcome was decided.
