What dramatic heart does Shakespeare aim for this scene?
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare has a tragic-love genre and as well is a comedy play, but comedy as the Elizabethan meaning the comic element of drama, of literature generally, or of life. When the Elizabethans went to go through one of Shakespeares plays at the Globe theatre they had authoritative expectations for a tragedy theme, and if the play did not go as expected they would maybe throw tomatoes or other vegetables, or even sometimes urinate onto the stage in disappointment. So Shakespeare was under a lot of pressure for writing plays because of this and because if the business leader did not enjoy it, that would have been bad news for Shakespeare.
The prologue at the beginning of Romeo and Juliet is written in a form of a sonnet, which is made up of fourteen lines of a regular rhyme scheme written in iambic pentameter. The prologue is important because it gives us an overview of the play, and feeds them curiosity. It would have been read by the chorus, one or much person(s), to introduce the play and get the audience interested swell away while building suspense. Also to give them a clue of whats going to happen and to get them thinking. This is called an potent dramatic device.
Two households both alike in dignity,

The opening lines of the prologue tells the audience that the story involves a family feud of two families who are bitter enemys, Montague and Capulet, which started recollective ago but we dont know the reason.
From old-fashioned grudge break to new mutiny,
Where cultured blood makes civil hands unclean.
Set in Fair Verona in Italy, a very romantic place, shows that Verona is a good, nice city far-off away from smelly old London. It gives the audience a casualty to escape their horrible life while their watching the play.
