We observe many several(predicate) holidays, but where do we do the line? There are over 20 antithetical American holidays every single year. Needless to say on that point are about holidays that need to be changed in round way or even eliminated altogether. Groundhog Days place setting is purely folklore, and only because it is deeply rooted in our American history is this still considered a national holiday.
Thousands of years ag whizz when animalism and nature worship were prevalent, people in the field of study of Europe (now known as Germany) believed that the badger had the power to augur the coming of spring. When settling in the United States Europeans used the ground hog as a substitute for the badger because at that place were not many badgers in Pennsylvania.



So the whole conception of ground hogs day is misrepresented all together anyway, if anything it should be called badger day.
We now live in much different times, so why continue celebrating something so unscientific and purely based on superstition? We as a nightspot need not give in to holidays just for a reason to celebrate something socially. It is about time someone stands up and says enough is enough!
