In an ever-changing world of globalization, Im convince that it is essential for students, universities, and organizations alike to not only experience only when also be provided with diverse learning opportunities. Since my childhood I have been part of the majority culture wherever I have lived. This lifetimestyle did not have the expected sheltering continue on me; rather it made seeing different separate of the world a priority of mine. As a result, I was driven to work hard enough to enable myself to sustain a remarkable multicultural learning opportunity real dissimilar from what many other study abroad students encounter. During the spend of 2008, I overcame barriers to freshly cultures and expanded my knowledge on diversity. Accordingly, I believe that I gained the experience and multi-cultural skills necessary to contribute to the by and large diverse student body at the University of Florida Law School.

Semester at Sea Summer 2008 was, to say the least, a major eye- opening adventure for me. Before I first boarded the MV explorer ship, life in America was altogether I knew. I had no understanding of the varied attitudes, beliefs, and norms of alien societies. I always had an open mind, just never the opportunity to fill it.



That being so, I knew it would be a great opportunity for me to leave my family and friends puke and prepare myself for an independent voyage of discovery. Once I boarded my new home on the MV Explorer Ship, I had incomplete expectations nor any idea on how much I was more or less to grow and develop during the following 70 days.

The next dickens months I learned a lot, not only just about myself but also about other people from all over the world. Five hundred other students and myself crossed the Atlantic to scrutinize the ways of life of people in europium and Africa, including: Norway, Russia, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Greece, Egypt, and Croatia.
