The United States are used to fight in wars concerning exclusivelyies or taking chequer of other country. But in the Korean War there accusive was different the US cute to separate North and s let onhern Korea to stop there war against each other. To the US this was a different pleasant of war, which put a lot of try out on Trumans decisions towards it. The cause of this war was communism; mainland china and Russia were both communist countries. When china and North Korea made an partnership the US knew that North Korea was going to convert to communism. Which that was the outcome; China helped North Korea convert to communism. The US does not want whatever communism so this made Truman curb an eye on North Korea. North Korea then cherished to convert southbound Korea to communism which South Korea was against. So this made North and South Korea initiate battle towards each other. The US did not want communism to spread so they intervened on the South Korean side.
The US sent troops to Korea and put them under control of Douglas MacArthur. MacArthur pushed the North Korean army back, and kept pushing them all the way towards China.



China did not like this at all they warned everyone that if North Korea make ups anymore close to their Country they were going to mensuration in. Which MacArthur kept pushing and this made China step in. China sent troops to North Koreas aid, the war then turned and the US and South Korea were getting pushed back. Both South Korea and the US were losing a lot of men.
Truman was left with a decision to make, should we keep fighting or pull are troops out of the war. He wanted to pull them out but MacArthur wanted to bomb China. But Truman was trying to convince everyone that this was not that kind of war, which made him really unpopular.
