Hello everyone. I am Ashley Texidor and I came here to form A.V.I.D. A.V.I.D stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. This class provides support for students in the zealous plan through curricular and mentoring activities. The mission of the desirous program is to ensure that all students will succeed in a rigorous curriculum, complete a college-preparatory path and will conk out educated, trusty participants in democratic society. I believe AVIDs mission is a promise because I savour like Im getting more responsible and Im preparing for college. AVID has helped me plan my future, help me academically and intellectually, and they helped me overcome obstacles that I had faced. When I first started AVID in 9th grade, I thought to myself is this class for me. Should I just give it. I had thought about it for a day and I decided that I should take it to have a fall in look at my future. AVID has influenced me to go to the college I insufficiency to go and make a good living in the future. While in AVID we do projects on colleges for physical exertion the College Rebound Project. This College project helped me look up some colleges that I didnt know about such as doc University. I then open the major I valued to do in my career. I wanted to be a professional dentist. So when I graduate high school, I will definitely heed Maryland University.
