Leaders in History August 19, 2011 ? Franklin D. Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882 in Hyde Park, NY. Roosevelt was tutored for most of his life until he went to college. Roosevelt received a Bachelors in history and then went to Harvard for law school, he passed but the patty examination however he left school with come to the fore a degree (2011). This did not stop him from working hard and doing what he wanted. Roosevelt practiced law and became interested in politics. In 1910, Roosevelt was elect New York State Senate as a Democrat tied(p) though when he grew up was a Republican champaign (2011). During this time, Roosevelt did get married; a distant cousin, Eleanor Roosevelt and they had children. Roosevelt continued the conterminous couple of years by staying involved with politics, he support Woodrow Wilson and in 1913, he was appointed Assistant Secretary of the dark blue (2011). However in 1921, Roosevelt was diagnosed with poliomyelitis and did what he could do in assure to regain strength in his legs (WhiteHouse.gov). This did not control him from doing what he wanted to do and in 1932, Roosevelt ran for president. Roosevelt won and in 1933 he took the oath for office (2011). Roosevelt had to handle a plenteousness of issues during his presidency but these issues helped him become a better leader.

During Roosevelts Presidency When Roosevelt took office in 1933, there were millions of people out of work and banks all over were closed. To help with this, Roosevelt proposed a course within the first 100 days of him being in office to help people. Congress passed this program and the program helped claim improvement to businesses and agriculture (WhiteHouse.gov).
